New Do

Charlie has been itching for a haircut... literally. His allergies and scratching have been the worst this past week. Hoping his new cut will help lighten things up.

We took him for the second time to our new favorite grooming place City Dog! Gotta love the bandana he wears home.

Dress Up Party

When Charlie was a puppy we couldn't wait to dress him up for Halloween, but unfortunately he wasn't too happy about it. After a second failed attempt at dress up with a Santa hat for a Christmas card we decided to throw in the towel on the costumes.

With the little one taking a sudden interest in playing dress up, Charlie seems to have taken a shining to it too all of a sudden. Not once, but twice now, he's allowed her to dress him up and even pose for pictures. On both occasions, long after she had moved on to something else, I found him still rolling around gleefully in the discarded pink piles of feathers and ruffles. Maybe we'll have to break out a costume for this Halloween after all.

You Didn't Get Me Anything?!

Every time we come home from running errands, Charlie likes to rifle through the shopping bags for loot. He paws his way through, sniffing everything, until he's either lucky enough to come up with a new toy or mad that we went shopping and neglected to buy him anything. Today was not his lucky day...

Christmas Stocking Surprise

Not sure who was more excited about opening their stockings this morning, the little one or Charlie. Pretty sure Charlie had been sniffing at his all night in anticipation since we found it knocked down on the floor first thing in the morning. Luckily, "Santa" wisely anticipated and left his present on the counter instead.

After playing not-stop all morning, I'd definitely say he was satisfied.

Turkey Coma

Charlie was still recovering from turkey day this morning...

Happy Turkey Day!

Charlie loves turkey, it's the only real human food he's allowed to eat, so Thanksgiving is definitely his favorite holiday.

Charlie warmed up his appetite with a little stick wrestling down on the beach.

He tried to bring home the leftovers, but we talked him out of it.

Dog Tired

Time change and a baby up all night teething makes Charlie a sleepy boy.

The Squirrel Hunter is in the prowl once again when he spots the elusive brown squirrel.

Once spotted the brown squirrel doesn't stick around long. But wait, which way did he go?

The squirrel hunter looks right...

 Aha! Up in the tree, now I've got you!

But once again brown squirrel is just too fast... Next time squirrel, next time.

Charlie's stick obsession has remerged and today he hit the motherlode.

Charlie sure loves his Grandma! He is very excited every time she visits.

Soon To Be BFFs

Charlie loves little kids! Anytime he sees one his tail goes crazy and he is anxious to jump and do some face licking. He still has yet to figure out that he already has a kid at home of his very own. It's just a matter of time, though, and a little growing on our daughter Sofie's part, and I'm sure they'll soon be best buds!

Aha! A treasure trove of discarded peanut shells (peanut lady must be at it again) the brown squirrels favorite treat, can't be too far now!

Had to stop and take a peek at the kids playing at the daycare next door. Charlie sure wishes he could join them!

Morning Prowl

Charlie took some time to take in the sun on the morning walk (zen moment for him).

Followed by kickin' up some dirt! And of course squirrel hunting!

Cat Crazy

We have a new cat in the building whose favorite pastime seems to be taunting Charlie.

Every time we go out for a walk he inches as close as he can then sits starring , cool as a cucumber, which of course drives Charlie insane.

Return to the newly remodeled dogpark, three squeaky toys, two socks, a chew stick equal tired Charlie.

Been awhile!

Well it's been awhile since I last posted, my life have changed! I now have a baby sister (well kind of)! I have been busy helping mom and dad with cleaning up spit up, changing diapers, and just plain entertaining her, it's very tiring! Hope to post more often, in the mean time, have a happy new year!
